Who doesn’t love a good pumpkin craft? The best part about them is they can stay out for three months – September for fall, October for Halloween, and then November for Thanksgiving! That makes them worth the effort for sure. But these beaded pumpkins are a cinch to make and require very little effort. Definitely worth making.
Then, separate and spread the pipe cleaners out so they look like a star. Next, string the pony beads onto each pipe cleaner. Be sure to leave about 1 to 1.5″ un-beaded on the ends. It is not always the same number of beads on each pipe, but the average was between 16 and 18 beads.
Bring all the ends up to each other and twist them together to create a stem. Do this carefully so that you do not twist up the pipe cleaners (which will make it difficult to undo and reshape in the end).
Next, take a green pipe cleaner and fold it in half to find the middle. Open it back up and tuck the orange stem in the fold of the green pipe cleaner. Twist it around the orange stem once or twice to secure. Then, take a pencil and wrap each end around the pencil to create the tendrils. Reshape if necessary to help them look more natural.
