Thanksgiving is a fun time for everyone to gather and enjoy each other’s company. But unlike Christmas, there isn’t much for the kids to do besides eat (for those of you who have kids who eat Thanksgiving dinner). With a few household supplies, kids can whip up this quick and easy tic tac toe pie themselves. And they can play it right away! Or at least until the real pie comes.
You will need ...
Paper Plate
Markers or crayons
Cotton Balls
Pencil
Ruler (optional)
Step One
With a brown marker or crayon, color the edge of the paper plate to resemble the pie crust.
Step Two
Next, color in the pumpkin pie center with orange marker or crayon.
Step Three
Then, use a pencil to draw in a tic tac toe grid. I did not make this a bold grid since pumpkin pie is usually plain on the top; no lattice.
Step Four
Finally, to differentiate between players, I used a brown fine tipped marker to draw little dots onto some of the cotton balls. This resembles a sprinkling of cinnamon on the whipped cream dollop.
Step Five
Now you’re all set to play! One player can be the dollops of whipped cream with the cinnamon sprinkles, and the other can be the plain dollops of whipped cream.
