DIY Teacher Gift - Personalized Glass Magnets

Nothing could come close to saying the “thank you” that hard-working teachers deserve.  But nothing says love like a DIY gift.  Especially one that’s personalized.  Make these easy glass magnets for your teacher and she’ll have something she can use and enjoy everyday!

You will need ...

  • Colorful papers or cardstock
  • Magnet Disks
  • Round Flat Glass Pebbles
  • Strong Clear Glue
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

Step One

Choose the papers that you would like on your magnets.  If you cannot find patterned papers to match what you want, you could also draw them yourself.  Or get creative – a music teacher could use magnets made from sheet music!

Then, place the glass magnet on the paper.  Trace it with a pencil.

Step Two

Next, carefully cut out the traced circles.

Step Three

Gather the glass pebbles and the cut-out papers.  On the flat side of the glass pebble, place a drop of strong clear glue.  Take the paper and place it face side down onto the flat side.  Then let it dry overnight on a flat surface.  I placed ours on a parchment lined baking sheet.

Step Four

Once the magnets are dry, it is time to adhere the magnetic disc.  And that’s it!  You’re all done.
